A Coast of Contrasts

Iceland is a land of contrasts. I have been there twice now, to explore the South Coast. In this travel photography blog, I share a few of the contrasts. There is soft moss beside hard rock, verdant pasture beside basalt, and tiny alpine flowers at the foot of glacial ice and volcanic ash. There are hot geysers and cold summers. It inspires and frustrates. One must be prepared for erratic weather in order to witness the beauty and capture the contrasts.
