A time for everything under the sun

Summer has arrived here in Florida and with it the heat of the day. I explored a new beach today at low tide and was enthralled by the driftwood sculptures and rock formations there. I arrived at 10 a.m. under cloudy skies which made for a pleasant perusal of photo ops. However, the clouds soon parted and all was exposed to the direct light and heat of midday. I was in the right place at the wrong time. Becoming overheated is real here, especially when temperatures climb above 90 degrees. Driftwood does not offer shade for relief from the sun. After checking the tide schedules for the next few days, I will return to this "new find" for a time under the rising or setting sun.
