Every which way
Portrait or landscape? Vertical or horizontal? The term portrait to describe the orientation of a photograph has replaced the term vertical over time and with the arrival of digital photography. Landscape has replaced horizontal when the orientation of the image is wider than it is tall.
You can use a landscape (horizontal) orientation when taking portraits of people and you can also use a portrait (vertical) orientation when taking pictures of landscapes. Orientation of an image is preference, art, and a tool to enhance your photographic moments.
