Resilience: the ability to recover or adjust. This is what we all have been practicing in the past year. I photograph resilience at beaches. It is seen in erosion after storms, the recovery of dunes over time, the shifting of driftwood, covered and uncovered by sand and tides and in the sand itself. I see strength and weakness in the dunes and driftwood bones. Enjoy the moments of this "bone friend" over its seasons and years of resilience.
Bone Friend at Little Talbot Island State Park. I have been seeking him out after each storm, year after year. for about six years. He is the epitome of resilience.
