Rise and Shine

Rising before sunrise to get to the beach for a sunrise is well rewarded. The best part of sunrise photography is not the sun, but instead, it is the angle of the light, the warm colors of the light, and the dramatic shadows. Always go without expectations for the best experience. Shame on me - I was hoping for sun-fog which blurs the horizon and creates other worldly photo worthy effects. I was treated to much more: orange sky and water, a pod of six dolphins, and an osprey catching breakfast. The panorama here was created at the second beach location this morning.
